    For a beginner you did fairly well. Especially considering that you have perhaps 3 of the most difficult aspects to capture - dark birds, white/light birds in sunlight, and birds in flight.

    Very good. I'm still looking for my first Bird In Flight. Were these taken with the Sigma lens or the beercan? - TF

    Thanks guys!

    They were taken with the Sigma, I havn't even thought about touching the beercan since I got my sigma.

    Very nice, I like the 1st one more (black phoebe). Great sharpness, and the phoebe's face is clearly visible.

    The seagull is unfortunately flying away from the camera, and we can't easily see it's face. Really nice framing by the foreground branches, though.

    Very nice shots, I really like that first one. Great job, black birds are tough to shoot.
