I've always loved taking photos, and purchased my first Pentax system from a co-worker who was getting rid of the stuff in 1985. My wife gave me a B/W photography class at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design and I loved the darkroom as well.
I went digital and have no regrets. A lot more affordable and flexible.
My dream is to become a sports photographer and I'm spending more time than usual learning what it takes to do that, including working on a photography degree.
Also write a photo blog called f/go Rambler, http://f-go.blogspot.com/

Rain-starved Texans: After Texas had suffered a long drought, residents give warm welcome to Tropical Storm Don. However, the tropical storm was not expected to be enough to make much of a dent in the state's epic drought. The fact that the storm was not seen bringing damaging winds or a destructive surge, makes it a perfect storm for a state sick of water rationing, brown lawns and dying crops.
