    new front page

Well, I finally got some free time and built a new front page, without reminding everyone what the old one looked like and knowing how important it is to make a first impressions I thought I'd ask around about what people think of it. have at it....

    Very Good!

I think this is your best main page yet Alan.
It is very clean looking and not so busy as the last version.
It felt the "over worked" images you had on the last version were too much and not too professional looking. As it stands now, it is very professional looking.
I love the second page, always have. It shows a bit of humor and personality, which are good things.
Sorry to hear about the wrist! Take advantage of the down time to do stuff like this, I did a lot of stuff like that myself when I broke my leg last year.

FYI... You might want to delete the first entry on your guest book, it automatically directs viewers to a LOVELY porn site.

I have a question. What's with the kinky pop up to sign in? It doesn't seem to fit your web site which I find excellent.

    The initial link is http://www.alandavisphoto.net/images/Home_39.jpg
But it shows for only a second and the a pop up for someones webcam loads.

Somehow, I don't think it's something you planned!

    Thumbs down Well...

That is the guestbook entry I was talking about Lara.
It is not part of Alan's site, it is SPAM!
I get some of those myself.
I don't know how they work, but they redirect your site to theirs!
Removing the entry takes care of the problem.
    Stupid Spammers!

Yikes!! that is bad, that skank spammed me! I got it fixed though, that is soooo annoying, I'm glad my life isn't so pitiful that I have to go around looking for message boards to spam for a living...

Thanks for pointing that out, and also for the kind words.

spamming is automated, so someone just pays for a program that does all this stuff automaticly.

More like hijacking than spamming. It takes you right out of the person's site. That's nasty!

Brian, I didn't realize we were talking about the same thing. I didn't even get to the first entry.

    Re: new front page

Your homepage is nice and it does make a good first impression you should consider putting an audio loop of some kind in thier it would add to the impact of your homepage.
