D-70: Can transport web pages for me!

Well, aside from taking great photos, I've found a novel use for my D70. I can build a web page on one computer, then "upload" the files to my D70 in the root folder and bring it to another computer, where I can "download" it there for additional working on and publishing. This sure beats carrying around a lot of floppy disks.

I was using a memory stick before, but I've misplaced it and this is working in a pinch.

Why are you surprised. The memory card is just basically a mini hard drive without the mechanical mechanisms. This will work on any camera digital still or video as well, as long as the storage card is big enough to hold the data.

It does beat floppies ect, but why not just buy a 1G usb storage drive that you can just plug into a usb port, or even by an MP3 player and use that. The new Ipod Shuttle would do as well. This way you save your storage on your camera for taking photos. Would like to have the card nearly full and miss that one shot that might rocket you into the photographic area now would.

Not surprised, just glad that the card accepted something other than photos from the camera in this case, as I had something I wanted to transport home with me and didn't have an alternate method of doing so today. I plan to get another storage drive (I inadvertently called it a memory stick) but I want to find one that is not easily lost.

And you're right...I'd HATE to lose that one shot due to an extra .html file being stuck on the card and not having enough memory to take it. LOL I'll be clearing the memory once I get home.

Yes loosing them is a problem. Maybe the Mini Ipod would suit, 6G drive in them now and reasonably priced in the USA.
