Where did the rest of the pictures go?

    Hello Dear Ones,
I made a visit to Auburn's Raptor Center Saturday.
Took along my Sony DSC H-50. Shot several (through the bars) then took several more inside with close up of a couple of beautiful raptors. (Owl - Hawk)

Got home plugged into USB, (just like always), there were 4 old shots that I deleted. Then scroll down the thumbnails of my raptors- dang - all the inside pics are not there.:cryin:
Each time I shot the screen would show like it was saving the pic.

Since the pics have always been coming up in numerical sequence I did not think the 4 deletions of the lower numbered pics could possibly include the others that were much higher numbered.

Ramble,Ramble,Ramble,:blush2: OK I'll stop and just ask if anyone has any idea what I might have done to loose the last few pic from the trip.

    Probably you didn't delete them.
But first, put that card aside and don't mess with it again
Get a photo recovery program, and if you don't have one already a USB card reader.
Then try to recover all the pictures off the card using your computer.

I used Image Recall to get mine back off a card that was suspect.
Seems it was failing (or the camera was) because when viewed the images were 1/4 red, blue, green and offset by 1/2 picture height.
Image Recall fixed the errors and got all my files off apart from 2 out of 100.

It very important that you do not write anything to that card. As you can overwrite the photos you wish to recover. Unlike hard drives there are no traces of the old photo for any program to recover.
