    Question Vegas nightime film?

I probably should have asked this before I placed my order. I'm trying to decide what kind of film would be good to take pictures walking around Freemont St. at night and inside casinos. I already ordered some Fuji Superia 1600. Anyone have any advice for me? I've never tried to take photos in this kind of situation.

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Re: Vegas nightime film?

Never been there. But - in Times Square in NYC, I've gotten barely handholdable shutter speeds at night with all the lights at f2.8 with ISO400, so I think you're on the right track. You might have been able to get by with 800, but it would limit your options. I've never used that film so I can't tell you if getting some 800 would be a good addition for this trip.

1600 can be very grainy but it works. I used iso 800 shot at f2 at 1/30th or f1.7 at 1/45th
the pictures were nice. Some areas are bright enough to shoot at 1/60 at f2.8, You are not allowed to take pictures in the casino. They may take your camera. Keep it in your case while inside casinos. Most shows do not allow pictures either.
