Focus Error on FinePix 3800

Im new here. I own a FujiFilm FinePix 3800 Digital Camera.

Everytime i turn it on, the light right under the viewfinder flashes red and i get an error message in the viewfinder that reads "Focus Error"

Any ideas on what the problem is??
