    Sports Photography business books

Does anyone have a favorite book that addresses no only the business of sports photography, but also the real "business" aspect of this type of work?
So far, the way I understand this business is:
    know your gear
    know your sport
get the best gear you can afford
    Develop a market
find a way to satisfy that market (deliver the prints)

I am looking for some advice regarding setting up a business based on successful models, i.e. dealing with income, declaring income, business write-offs/expenses/expenditures on new gear...etc

    I appreciate any suggestions

There are no books like that. Your best bet is to talk to other photographers. Come over to the sports board.

You might also try the Photo Business and Law forum on this site. I don't think you'll find one book that will cover all of that, but maybe several that will answer your questions. I'm not sure what your experience as a photographer is, but learning the "craft" part of it is always a good foundation. By this, I mean how all the settings work, how exposure works, how to meter, etc. The National Geographic Field Guide series is a good one to look at, as well as some of the Kodak books.

    Hey masdog -
I just re-read the posts to my book question and noticed you have the Epson R1800 printer as well. I have not been knocked off my perch yet by this printer. I run 3 printers, to include the 1800. My Epson stylus 925 takes upwards of 19 minutes to print a picture, but it is pretty darn good, so far out-performing the 1800 by a bit. The other, an HP is used for daily printing chores. I have read and re-read the instruction manual, and still don't feel I'm getting what Epson seems to be promising. Let me know your thoughts, expectations and whether or not you are truly satisfied with this printer.
    thanks
