    Unhappy sony DSC-W50 problems

    hi,
i have a memory stick for 2 years and till 2 months ago i never reseted it,but i had some problems with the photos on it ,they dissapeard and then i thought that now it's a good time to reset.
after the reset has been completed everything was ok for a while and now suddenly the camera won't go to the taking picture/viewing picture mode (sorry for the unprofesional way of using the terms),the display is black, and the zoom lenses are keep on trying to switch on and off and after a while it says that i should ''turn the power off and on again''.
the situation is even more dramatic considering that tomorow i'm leaving for my hollyday(!!!!) in greece .
has anyone some ideea about what the problem can be? i am suspecting that it might be that i have to buy another memory stick but i'm not 100% shure
please help me find the problem guys
    thnx

When I really don't have much advice to offer, I usually start by recommending that you try charging the battery. And, if the battery charges while it's in the camera, take it out overnight first and then try charging it.

It's strange how many times low batteries will cause all sorts of problems. I don't know that this will fix it, but it's worth a try.
