Sony Dsc T1 help plz!

well i have this cam for like 14 months now , i know its a good digital camera , it used to produce great picx , but am not sure what happend to it , i mean i never dropped the cam and the settings are all the same , i even went to the sony site and update the firmware and did a whole rest to everything , i also formated the memory (Sony 256mb pro duo) but everything is the same ....

-Nightpicx -> r rubish my 2.0MP nokia takes better or nearly the same quality picx at night!

-Day light-> decent picx at 5MP ! i expect them to be much clearer , they just seem to be too white and bright , i have to adjust every single image in iPhoto or Adobe Photoshop to make them a bit better

-Flash -> also rubbish , if its more than 3-4 feet away then it will be a dark pic!


please help me out guys i know some of u r pros but am only a begginer! about the settings everything is auto and the quality is set to 5MP .

Are you sure that a setting didn't get accidentally changed? I don't know that camera, but it's easy enough to do it on most of them.

am sure i checked everything twice toady ... by the way what does the word 'SAF' mean its on my screen all the time and am not sure what it is ....

Not sure about that one, but if it hasn't shown up before then that might help with a call to Sony's customer service. According to dpreview.com, that camera has been out since '03 so I'm guessing it's out of warranty. It may cost more to fix than the price of a new one, unfortunately. Before you worry about that, try Sony first to see if they can help.
