So which Canon zooms? You read right...

I have been asked by a friend, who unfortunatley shoots Canon, for a little technical advice on what lens to get etc..
He has a 10D and needs a zoom with macro capablility and I don't know enough about the Canon lens to tell him which one.
I have looked at Canon's site and can't determine that either.
I am thinking the EF 24-70 f/2.9 USM would be a great choice, but I can't tell if it has macro.
Macro is a requirement.

I think that would be a little too complecated for him.
I was thinking a zoom, because it would be simple.
His needs are very general but with the macro.
Does the EF 24-70 f/2.9 USM have macro capabilities?

Yeah, the current 24-70 has "macro." Of course I doubt it's anything close to real macro, but at least it says it on the lens barrel.

The sealed part about that lens is good too.
