seeing red in the LCD screen..help!!!

I just purchased the Canon A80 and I love the camera. However when I take pictures in daylight a red hue appears on the LCD screen when the shoot button is pressed halfway down. The images are fine when I view them but I was wondering if this is a normal occurence on the LCD screen caused by the sun's rays. Any feedback will be much appreaciated.

Hmm... You see, the part that I don't like is that they look fine when you view them, this means it is not flare. Why would you see flare in preview but not in actual photo... I am guessing there may be something wrong here, only because I have never experienced something like that, and I have an older Canon digital, so, my guess would be there is something wrong.
