    samsung digimax 360

Hello, I have digimax 360 camera with broken cmos sensor, I just want to use it as a portable media player for picture presentation and video playback (via tv out). I tried converting with several tools to exact video and audio codec (mjpeg) but camera does not recognize it. Can you tell me what tool and method to use for converting videos?

Hi misjah, welcome to PR Hope you don't mind, I thought this might get some better responses in the help forum than in the film forum.

You have to supply files to fool the camera into that it took the photos of movie. And you can only play the movie if it was saved in the same format the camera took. This files are not in the same directory as the photos and movies.

    Summary:

    1) the memory card has to have the directory structure that camera uses
    2) the photo's and or movies have to have the size limits of the camera
    3) the camera control files for each photo or movie must but duplicated and in the correct location

I did all that, video file I created has the same bitrate, framerate etc. and I replaced it with original video with the same name but it still says ``file error``, I think it`s the codec problem or some metadata that camera writes to recorded video....
