    Hello,

I was wondering if someone could recommend some fairly comprehensive instructional digital photography book(s) for an aspiring hobbyist. This would be for someone not familiar with camera settings and such, in digital format of course. Not looking for anything along the lines of the “dummies” series, more in depth please.

The Kodak series of books, as well as the National Geographic Field Guide to Photography are good ones to start with. Check your library and see what interests you, but the Nat Geo book is small enough to fit into a camera bag.

Another good option is Nikon School, it's a one day traveling seminar that goes throughout the country. http://www.nikonschool.com/sop.html

    Welcome to the forum.
