    Reccomend a Camera?

I'm a first time digital camera buyer and I was hoping I could get a few reccomendations on cameras with around the following specifications:

    Approx 5.0 Megapixels
    Anti-Blur facility
    CompactFlash/Microdrive Compatible
    Around the £150-200 mark

The camera will be used for general purposes like taking shots at events, parties, etc. I'd prefer a camera with a CF slot as I have a 4GB microdrive at home and I'd love to start putting it to use. If not though, I could live without a CF slot.

If the price range I've set is also too unrealistic, I'd like some reccomendations anyway. I might be tempted to stretch further if I found the right camera.

    Thanks.

The problem is any camera that will use a 4GB micro drive is a DSLR, and the least costly DSLR that I know of is the Nikon D50 and it doesn't take a Compact Flash it uses SD cards. You my need to look at refurbished or used cameras to make your budget. As far as the cameras, there are a lot of cameras in that price range.

You could try the Canon S2 IS, or look around eBay and find a used Canon S1 IS. You get a pretty good zoom range, image stabilization, and manual controls. I work for a office supply store, and sold a S2 to a lady this past weekend, and she called me when she got home just to tell me how much she loved the camera. Its pricey and only uses SD cards, but for the money I think it is a great camera.

I've got one! I got a HP Photosmart E327, a modest 5.0 megapixels with no optical zoom. Its perfectly suited for what I'm going to use it for. Thanks for your reccomendations!
