    Question question about condensation

hi everyone, a friend at work was using her camera and taking pictures outside in the cold weather/snow. then when we went inside, and i noticed she had not put her camera in a bag to prevent condensation so i asked her about it and she said that she never worries about that, and has never had any issues. my question is, isn't that an issue for all cameras? i don't think she had an SLR camera, does it make a difference?
    thanks.

    Re: question about condensation

It's definitely an issue for all cameras. However, it may not be as big of a deal for the camera as a lot of people think. If you live in a very wet environment it may end up causing mold in lenses. But as long as you give the camera a real chance to dry out and you don't do it all the time, I think it's not really a big problem. Bottom line, condensation should be avoided. But it's not the end of the world.

    Re: question about condensation

Another thing - most are worried when going from the cold to a warm, moist area because of the visible condensation on the outside of the camera. I am more concerned about taking a camera with that warm, moist air trapped on the inside, out onto the cold where the condensation will be on the inside. – Terry
