Question QR for camera neck strap

    Hi.

I'm looking for a sort of adapter strap that would convert my stock Olympus neck strap into a quick release, so I can easily take off the strap whenever I feel like it. Does anyone know if such a thing exists?

The closest thing I can find on-line is the Op/Tech Mini QD converter (#12 here), and I'm not sure if it's actually what I'm looking for.

I plan to move to a grip-style strap as my main strap system (w/o the neck strap), and only use the neck strap as backup. But I don't want to have to keep slotting it into the side tabs every time I decide I want to use the neck strap, thus the need for a quick release.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I have a Tamrac camera strap, with that feature, on my Canon.

    Thanks guys.

But all I need is the short portion with the QR buckles, not a whole strap, as I already have a neck strap.

My PacSafe CarrySafe 100 also has the QR feature, but I'm giving it up for the grip strap. So I just need the QR portion (like the Op/Tech QD adaptor) to attach to my stock Oly strap.

Not sure how you'd do that - maybe if you have a local place that makes awnings and stuff like that, they could do a custom job for you but it'll probably cost more than the Tamrac strap (which I used to have). I found the Tamrac really bulky, especially when the strap itself was removed. Just a lot of stuff hanging there.

Also used a Domke strap which has old-style small metal quick releases (small version of what's on a dog leash). For me, it was too much stuff too so I've suck with the Nikon OEM straps.
