Powershot A70 : broken CCD ship

Got a problem with my 1 1/2 year old Canon Powershot A70:

All pictures I take are extremely dark (nearly black, even when using full manual mode, say 1/64s F2.8 at daytime - the picture should be just white) and all the yellow component is nearly completely missing. The camera worked fine before.

Is my CCD chip broken? If yes, how much would a repair cost?

Well, something's broken.

My guess is that a repair would cost about what the replacement cost of the camera is, but you may want to check it out with Canon.

if your ccd is broken, then your camera is not worth repairing
get a new one
