    Plug-Ins for PS CS

I just got PS CS up and running this morning! The computer that I have it loaded on, is not hooked up to the internet, and most likely wont be for a while. There are some plug ins that I would like to get for it tho. I have never used a plug in before and I'm not real sure how they work... My question is, can I download them onto my desktop PC, save them to a disc, and install them on my laptop that has CS on it?

Yes. Works that way when you download direct to the pc that has cs on it. You simply save to a folder on the hard drive and install from there. All that's different is that you're installing from a cd instead of a folder on the hd. I don't know of too many plug-ins or actions that install directly to the pc online, if there are then that would be a problem.

the few members of the office not going Nashville '05 for the AACD annual scientific session are probably feeling a little envious-they don't get a shirt

I'm glad you like the shirts!!! Really is a small world isn't it.

Thanks for the info about the plug ins too. I kinda figured that's how it would work, but I wanted to make sure.

Michael, what plugins are you planning on getting?

I just got my CS installed last night too.

    Hey Kelly,

I downloaded and installed this yesterday. Not sure if I will use much out of it, but it was free, and very simple to use. Noise Ninja is also on my list of plugins to try. My DRebel at higher ISO settings doesn't cut it for me as far as the noise levels go, so I want something to help take care of that.

There are also some plugins by Fred Miranda that were mentioned here that I want to check out.

Another solution that might work is to simply copy the plug-ins folder and sub folders from your pc and transfer them via cd to your laptop and copy them into the corresponding folders. Haven't tried this myself however, but it should work, since most plug-ins and actions seem to be installed by installing the appropriate files to these folders anyway.
