    Re: Pixel Question

    2400 x 3000 = 7.2 mp
    2400 pixels divided by 300 dpi = 8"
    3000 pixels divided by 300 dpi = 10"

300 dpi has kind of been the standard for printing resolution, and if you kept it at 300 dpi you'd only get an 8x10 print. I have a 6 mp DSLR and have gone to 24x36 which works out to only about 80-something dpi. I did a lot of post processing and the result was still pretty good, but I've been very happy with 16x24 prints. It depends on a lot of factors including how sharp the original file is, your expectations, the amount of detail in the subject (less detail will make it easier to get a good large print) and viewing distance (the bigger the print, the farther the viewing distance).

If you've got a good, sharp, clean file you should have no problems at 16x20 or larger.

    Re: Pixel Question

Thanks. I am actually looking at chroma key backgrounds, and on what I am looking at, it says that the files are 2400x3000pxl Uncompressed TIF files. I just want to make sure that they will be able to be blown up to whatever size my customer wants.

I know Chroma Key is not real popular on here, but I am just learning it and I am having the worst time finding any good information on it.

What are "chroma key backgrounds"? Not heard of these.
