    Particles inside camera

I just got a new Canon AE-1 Program and when i looked through the viewfinder, I noticed that there were some particles inside the camera. I took off the lens and cleaned everything inside with a brush but the particles were will there :mad2: :cryin: . Does anyone know how i might be able to get rid of them? Should i contact the seller? as the camera did come with a warranty. Or should i take it to a shop to get cleaned, and if i do, how much would it cost??.

I have the same problem with my AE-1. I have what looks like a small dead spider stuck to the focusing screen! Nothing shows up on the photos though. If what you are seeing is on the mirror or the focusing screen, it won't show up in your photos. Can you still see these particles when there isn't a lens attached to the camera?

Use a rocket blower and puff the living hell out of the camera. There's no sensor inside, so just huff and puff. It should clear out the particles. If it's in the viewfinder (you're seeing it with any lens) then puff near the roof of the camera (pointing up, that is). It shouldn't show up in your images unless the speck is on your lens.

I developed a roll of film today and none of the particles showed up, so that was a relief. I'll try to blow it out when i get the time. The particles still show up when the lens is removed, but only the biggest ones.

Don't try and clean the focusing screen by touching it with anything. ect Q-tip. Take the pros advice and use only the blower. I made the mistake of trying to clean one once with a Q-tip. Ouch. That was long ago.LOL
