    Re: Panoramic photo printing

I actually just had one printed. however what I did was scale my picture to the longest dimension of a print that Sams club could print. For me that was 30" wide(20"x30" sheet). unfortunately my pano was only 4 1/8" tall than. Next time I shoot a pano I will definately shoot it in portrait mode so that I can get more in the picture and will be able to make it a lot less skinny. In using this method I ended up converting it to black and white for a second print on the same sheet. I also added some other pictures to the sheet. I did this by createing a 20"x30" Document in cs3 and inserting the items into it that I wanted printed. Turned out A++

    Re: Panoramic photo printing

Find a friend who has a printer that can do panorama's. I've printed great panoramas off a Epson C-80 through C-84 printers, unluckily I was limited to 44 by 8.5 max size ( the Linux driver is not limited to 44 inches long).

The down size is the cost of the paper and ink, and it does take allot of time to prepare the paper and file to print, it's not a plug and play, even with my new printer a Epson R-2400 with the roll feeder. It's just not easy!

    Re: Panoramic photo printing

I have used Mpix.com for printing panos and I'm very happy with them. I use them almost exclusively. Like Tayl024 I will put multiple images on a single sheet if they will fit. The largest size mpix does is 24x36. If you want to go even larger, check out www.whcc.com. I have gotten a few prints from them, and they were just as good as mpix. They offer even larger sizes than mpix.

    Re: Panoramic photo printing

    I just received a couple 8" X 45" panos from this company. http://theposterplace.com/
I had them print 2 up on a 16" X 48" and cut them down to size. It cost me about $38 for the 2 of them. They turned out great and I received them promptly.

That is not a realistic size for printing, as the panorama's will be eye balled and you should not print under 150 dpi and ideally be around 300 dpi for best results.

    Re: Panoramic photo printing

I don't think that's a high enough resolution for that size photo.
