    Talking new here...photoshop question

I'm new here. I've been posting at [ur]cameracourage.com[/url] for a while. I saw dwaughs waterski photos yesterday. I joined, and my first post is a question.

I am making an action for a batch in Photoshop 7. I want to put a logo on a photo. I put a blank layer ontop of the logo (the same size of the photo). Could I just put the whole thing on by aligning the edges of the big layer? Then, the logo, in the layer below wouldn't have to be moved on the photo.

When I copy/paste, a dark rectangle happens when i paste on the photo. I tried dragging it. It worked, but not for the batch. I heard the appy image thing under image may be what I need to do, but I'm not sure what it does and how to use it.

Hi dl, welcome. You're probably better off posting ps questions in the Digital Imaging Forum.

Truth is, I've been working with photoshop for many years now, and I really can't figure out what you're asking. Maybe if you could try to better explain the problem, or at least what you're trying to do, it would help us help you...

    Re: new here...photoshop question

I want to put my logo on a photo. Copying/pasting doesn't work, because when pasted, it's just a grey rectangle. I tried dragging, which worked, but not so well in the action for a batch.

On the logo file, I put a 600x400 tranasparent layer (maybe I should merge them?) ontop of the logo, thinking that maybe once I get it on the photo, it can somehow just align the edges of the of the image around the logo with the photo w/o me having to position the logo manually.

Someone said the apply image thing might help, but I can't figure out what it does.

Basicly, I need to get a logo onto a photo. I need it to work for an action for a batch.

Is there not a way for me to delete my thread? I made a new one in digital imaging.
