New here! Just a little odd.....

Hello everyone,

First off I am new to the group and have enjoyed reading some the threads on the list.

Okay here goes. I recently went on a "Haunted Tour" of Richmond, Virginia with a group of friends. Thinking this was going to be more like a history tour of downtown Richmond on a cold night, my hubby and I took our Nikon D90 for fun. I am enclosing pictures that we took.

Help needed in a few areas....in several pictures I have odd red lights show up when NO flash was used in the pictures. Then there is the moon shaped thing above the tree, the streaks of yellow lights and fog, when it was not foggy, and then can someone please explain what is in the bottom window? Oh, and one last thing.....we were at the place of the Church Hill tunnel, not sure if anyone knows about that or not but basically a tunnel collapsed on a train in 1925 and it is still there to this day....my camera died a total of 6 times that night. With a fully charged battery? I would really love some kind of explanation on this...I am not dismissing the spiritual world, but my hubby is a non-believer to the fullest extent.


For the foogy streak of light photos I had my camera propped on my camera bag not moving, on automatic setting.

I really appreciate any help someone can give me.

Photo 1 - bottom window looks like dirt in the screen
2 - that moon shaped thing is lens flare, it is the reflection off the lens glass, most likely from those flood lights.

These last two have the same problem, long shutter times, some sort of light moved past these frames while they were being exposed (flashlights?)
3 - 8 Second Shutter
4 - 6 Second Shutter

I also figure your camera didn't die, it prob went into battery save mode just 1/2 click the shutter and see if that helps the next time it does this.
