Need a lens hood? Print one out.

That's right, you can now print out a lens hood. How is this possible? Well I just came across this site which has lens hood templates for many different lenses which you print, cut out and attach to your lens. Here is a link:

I'm curious to find out how well these hoods work so if anybody makes one, let us know what you think.

I guess they'd be fine for hooding but not for protecting, though better than nothing.

print them on sheet styrene if you want something a bit sturdier
(I've done it in other aplications like model aiplane instument panels, so I know it works.)

You can always use the printout as a pattern to cut it out using black paper or styrene.
