    Need some framing help

I am looking for some double stick tape to attach the paper that covers the back of a frame when you are sealing it up after framing. Can anyone that has done this recommend some tape and where to buy it? Thanks, Jeff

I use a double sided tape from 3M that I get at Walmart. It's permanent and photo safe. This is the stuff I get, only I get it in the little plastic dispenser. Look for it in the office supply department.

They also make a little bit different photo tape that I have used before too. It's also photo safe, and it comes with a removable backing one side. You can find this kind in the craft department. It comes in handy when you want to mock something up before actually taping it down. It's more expensive though, and that is why I switched to the other stuff.

Most art or craft stores will have an acid free tape. Some framers use a paste as part of the final work to eliminate or make obvious tampering.

Check your local crafts store. Michael's usually carries this stuff. Make sure it's acid free though, unless you don't really care about the print. Shame to put non-archival tape on a lightjet print though.

Thanks to everyone that took the time to help me out. This 3M you posted is what I was looking at but this is a much better price on it. It is nice to be part of a community where you can get helpful answers and advice whenever it is needed. Being able to get input from several sources at the same time is very helpful. I enjoy having friends that are willing to help one another when anyone needs some advice and I am glad to be a part of the group. I am going to try the 3M tape from Wal-Mart also. Thanks again, Jeff
