    Unhappy is my sensor ruined!?

    hi all..

im new to DSLR photography, really enjoying it, my Samsung GX10 is about a month old, and all of a sudden all my images have a blue dot and a greenish-white dot on them..
have tried cleaning the lens and the mirror and the sensor (with only air from a proper camera cleaner) but to no avail..

    example photo here: http://img142.imageshack.us/my.php?i...g100681xg7.jpg

has anyone seen this issue before?? im really worried! thanks..

Could it be bad pixels? Bring the camera back if you bought it from a store.

This looks like just ONE bad pixel, but the JPEG conversion has turned it into a little cross of five purple pixels.
I have the same issue on my 1D but since I shoot in RAW it stays as only one pixel and is easily removed if it's noticeable.

yep. That's what it is, a dead pixel. But be aware before you send it back, one dead pixel isnt a huge problem. I have heard stories of people sending their sensors with 1 dead pixel back, only to get one with 2 or more dead pixels, in different places than their original.

I have to agree with the dead/bad pixel. If you have to send it back see if they can map the bad pixel out.
