Minolta Maxxum 7000 Question

I bought a Minolta Maxxum 7000 the first year they were out, but only had it a few days before I was relieved of it by some person feeling more deserving of it than myself. I therefore did not have time to familiarize myself with the camera. Having just acquired another, can anyone tell me if there is a way to create double exposures with it?

There is no way that I've found. To get that capablity, you'd have to go to the 7000's big brother, the Minolta 9000.

Of course, you could always get the same effect with a decent post-processing application, such as Photoshop CS2 or Photoshop Elements. Any application that allows layers would work.

I don't know that camera, but I had a Pentax K1000 that didn't have a double exposure function. It can be done but won't line up 100%. Here's what you do:

1. Take the first shot, remembering to compensate exposure
2. Don't advance the film
3. Take up any slack in the film with the rewind lever - stop when you feel resistance
4. Press the rewind button, usually on the bottom of the camera
5. While holding the rewind knob, advance the film
6. Shoot the second shot, again remembering to compensate exposure
7. Advance the film as usual - or repeat steps 2 - 6 for more than two exposures.
