    Kodak CX6330 Help Required

Does anyone have one of these cameras? If so, do you find that the batteries last for such a small amount of time it is ridiculous?

I went out earlier today and took my camera and lo and behold the batteries were dead so I took out some spare batteries which were fully recharged and had been kept in the pouch of the camera case. What do you know, they were dead too.

I use Uniross Rechargeable 2500mAh batteries.

Is the camera past its best? Am I using the wrong batteries? Is this the best I can expect from my camera?

I have had the camera a few years now.

    Re: Kodak CX6330 Help Required

Rechargables are notorious for losing their charge between uses. Add to that the fact that, in my experience anyway, rechargables don't last as long as disposables, and I understand what you're saying.

I have two suggestions. First, I've taken to keeping a set of rechargables in the charger and plugged in until I leave for an outing. Second, do some research into the optional Kodak CRV3 lithium battery. The few reviews I've seen have been pretty favorable. Here's an example:

I received this battery along with the camera and thought that the silly little thing would not last any longer that AA's, but I was suprized. I took about 200 pictures with it before it finally died and about half of those were with a flash. That was after it sat on my desk for almost a year. Had to resort to AA's last night and went through 6 AA batteries for about 40 pictures. So I am going to get more becuase it works out to be cheaper and it is less of a hassle.
Lastly, I normally keep a package of disposables handy for the situations like you ran into, where my backups were dead. better to carry extra batteries than miss shots.
