    ISO in Olympus SP 510

When using Macro mode in my Olypus SP510 UZ I cannot control the ISO and on some shots I will get an 800 IS0 resulting in a grainy photo. I am using photofloods through a photography tent. Also, I'm not getting a sharp picture even after putting it through Photoshop.Any help out there?

Anytime you set a camera in a pre set mode it is going to take over the settings. Try shooting in manual and set it up yourself. If you are using a tripod you can lower the ISO as low as you like. Also set the timer. You may be getting motion blur. It doesn't take much movement shooting a close up. You might also try shooting in RAW format if you have the software to for it.

Yup, good advice. A tripod is really a essential piece of equipment for macro shooting as well. Macro work gives you such a narrow depth of field, that any amount of camera movement will give you some blur. Photofloods probably don't give you a very fast shutter speed either which will add to that problem but a tripod will solve all of it.
