    How to buy security cameras? Any tips?

    Looking to buy secuirty cameras, but am utterly confused. Pleaes help me guys! Let me know if you have any tips on buying outdoor security camera

    But the security camera field is were the better cameras can be 3-4 figures, before the weather proof housing is added on! In other words there is the cheap home stuff, then the professional stuff and no middle ground. Also the quality of the home stuff varies so much even in a band, I went through 4 home security cameras before finding a half way good one.

    I work in the security camera field. We use a brand called Specotech. You will have to find a dealer but the quality is very good and they also sell DVR's four, eight or sixteen channels. Be sure and get a DVR that records only when motion is detected, if not if something happens finding the event takes much longer.
