    Hot Spot?

Notice the bright red spot by the boy's left elbow? As near as I can tell, that was part of the sweater. I took 110 photos this morning, and this problem popped up only in this one, and the next in the sequence (continuous fire mode). That particular sequence was ended after the second photo. All the others turned out fine. Can hot pixels be an intermittent problem?

Here's the exif data from Adobe Bridge:

I'm stumped on this one. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd guess that's what it is too. Hot pixels usually show up at high ISO's and slow shutter speeds. If you don't notice them in that situation, they won't happen here. The hot pixels I've had have usually been green - like bright fluorescent green, and they're only one pixel but the surrounding eight pixels have a bit of that color. They look like really intense little dots.

Yes! Judging by the shadows, I'd say its just a spot of sunlight.

Ok, I'm embarrassed now. Leave it to an Oregonian to discount the effects of sunlight......
