    Histogram?

When editing an image, what sort of balance/shape should a person look for in a histogram after everything is adjusted? What is the histogram a good judge of? Thanks!

    Re: Histogram?

Sebastian did an excellent job on the guide. Think about your own shot and how the histogram will look because of it. I've seen people say that the blacks and whites should never have data past the edge of the graph, but I don't necessarily agree with that. It depends on what you want the image to look like. That said, it should be shot as close as possible to what you're looking for in a final image.
