    Help with some features

I have a Fujifilm Finepix S1500 ..and it has automatic scene recognition, but I'm trying to find out what I need to do to be able to choose my own scene, I did it once ..on accident, but I don't remember how I did it.

    Re: Help with some features

I cant find any info on the S1500, it isn't in the IR database so I'll assume that was a typo and you meant S5100, a fuji model I used to own myself.

In any event I'm a little confused as to what you mean by 'choose my own scene', the obvious answer would be to either use a priority or manual mode and expose at your own intentions, but perhaps I'm not reading what you are asking correctly. The preset auto modes ala nighttime and landscape are pre configured automatic modes, but the priority and manual modes are all you. If you know even a little about metering, then those modes will do better then any automated mode anyways. If you are wanting to keep it easy, the priority modes require only a little bit of know-how.
