Help moving images from one card to another??

I transfered all my pictures from the card in my camera to my computer. Then I tried to put them on another card so I can view them in my camera but the camera shows no images on the card. I just wanted to store them on a spare card to show friends. Is there a way to do this??

Sorry but no. When the camera writes the images to the card it includes information on the card that the firmware/software in the camera uses to recognize those jpg's. That information is not transfered to the computer so it does not get transfered back to the card.

Do you have an I-pod with a color screen or some other device like that. My wife uses her cell phone as it has a slot for a micro SD card. There are photo storage devices out there but they are pretty pricey still. A good one is in the $400-$800 range depending on the size of the hard drive. They have nice large color screens, run on batteries, have a built in card reader and allow you to store music and video as well and are portable hard drives as well.

I was thinking of an Ipod also. I seen the image loaders but they are expensive. I have other toys I want first like a new macro lens.

It can be done, but it's not a simple thing to do. You have to decode the information that is stored out side the directory the photos are stored in, and after transferring the selected photos rewrite the photo information in the camera's DB file format and the camera's directory structure must be maintained.
