    Question Framing a poster

So, I've got this old poster... Ok it's a Star Wars movie poster that came with the record from 1977. I would like to flatten it out (it has spent the last 32 years folded up in the record album) and frame it. I'm not sure how to go about either one.

For framing, I'm used to framing photo's with overmats and mountboards. However, I have never seen a movie poster framed in such a way. So, I'm not sure how I should do this. The poster overall size is 22x33 inches, with the actual image size of 20 7/8x31 7/8 inches.

    Suggestions?

    Re: Framing a poster

You got me curious about the flattening so I googled it. Lots of hits but this one seemed simple enough http://www.wikihow.com/Flatten-a-Rolled-Map-or-Poster.

I don't know why you couldn't frame it the same as your photos.

    Re: Framing a poster

Mat board and Foam Core are available at art supply stores for around $7.00 per board for standard mat board and the standard size is 32 X 40 inches. At the craft stores you can purchase metal framing per cut (2 pieces per package). You want 1 1/2 to 3 inch boarders. The only problem is the cost of the mat cutters/or the cost of having the mat cut.

I hope you show a picture of the finished project... I used to have that one also, but it's long long long gone, along with all the hockey card collection from that era
