    Flash problem

The on camera fill flash pops up and works fine but, when you hit the button for it to go back down it doesn't. You have to manually set it back down into place. When I mount a hotshoe mount flash on the camera it won't fire. Earlier today the HS flash wouldn't fire when I hit the shutter button but afterwards it started firing off about 3 or 4 bursts of flash.
Any ideas on what is causing this?

    Re: Flash problem

Hi and welcome - not sure what might be causing this other than my standard response of trying new batteries (longshot but might work). What kind of camera is it, make and model?

    Re: Flash problem

Trying new batteries was the first thing I did, and no change. I have a feeling it has to do with the on camera flash and it is not disengaging when the pop-up is set back down.

    It is a Canon D60.

    Thanks for the reply
