    flash memory

    hi guys,

i just bought a camera, and on the box of the camera it says..."external SD slot (maximum:512mb)"...i had a 2g card, and i put it in the camera, and im able to take pics and store them onto the card, but i was just wondering...since it says that the slot's max waas 512mb, would i only be able to use 512mb of the 2gb card, or would everything work out fine and i can use the whole 2gb?

    thanks in advanced

I think you will have to try it out and see. I would suggest that you don't reformat the card in the camera or again if you are going to use it in that camera. I have read a post yesterday where someone with a Nikon D50 bought a 4G SD card and the Nikon only is supposed to have up to 2G the person has formatted the card as it was secondhand and had pictures on it, using the camera and now has a non working card. Has tried formatting it on the computer but the camera no longer recognises it. Just be aware of that fact.
