    Filter Help

I'm looking at a way at using only one set of filters for all of my lenses. I've heard that Cokin have developed a way of doing this using the P-Series holder?

Is the correct adapter I need to use? I've attached a link for reference.

    It's a bit long, sorry :blush2:

I've also heard that step up/down rings is another option. I already have quite a few UV filter, a polarising and a red filter for B&W photography so I would like to be able to use them as well.

    Any other ways?

    Cheers

    Re: Filter Help

I see the auction says "P-Style" components so I'd guess they're not actually made by Cokin. That may or may not be a problem, but I've never had a problem with the genuine article (which is quite a bit more expensive). The Cokin system will do what you want, but I don't think it's really a convenient system. The P-Series is the one to get because you can use it with up to about 82mm filter diameter lenses. But I've never found it quick and easy to use.

Step-down rings can do it too and might be a better option, especially if most of your lenses are the same diameter. Buy a filter of the largest diameter you need, and then step-down rings to attach it to the others.
