Embeded images in a post not working ?

I have tried 2x to embed photos from my site into a post and I have not been able to get them to work. I have done this 100x on other forums ... but can't get it to work here. I am using the button on top and pasting in my address for the pics ... here is an example of what i get .. if a mod wants to view it and see what is wrong ??

Ben, I think you'll get quicker results to these kinds of problems if you post in the Site Feedback Forum. This forum is really for photo and camera issues not site related.

I can't give you an absolute answer, but I looked at the HTML for your post, and I see the img tag (that should link to your dog photo). It looks to me like you inserted a web site page URL instead of the path to a single image file URL. I say this because when I paste the listed URL in the address bar on my browser, a web page from your site appears instead of just the picture...

The URL that you paste here needs to be a path to the image in its directory, not the web page it's on...

basically right click the piciture, go to properties and copy and past the image location, and use that link.

If you right click on the read x and look at properties it will show you the link it has for that particular image. If you look you will see there is something missing in the link info. The end of the link is missing what should be there after the end of it, something like .jpg maybe. You need to carefully copy the linking info to ensure you get the whole line.

Go to advanced and see the little icon that is yellow with what looks like hills, line2 position 14, click on that and put the whole link to the actual picture by right clicking on the image and looking at properties and hightlight the whole link and copy it then past it to the little window that pops up when you click on that little icon. Then you will get this.



The following is the actual link that you would copy and paste. Then you won't get the red X showing up all the time. You are posting the link in the address bar from you site which isn't the actual pictures link. Make Sense.

thanks everyone ... i have recently put in my album software on my site and was missing the file extension for the pics ... sorry about posting in the camera help section ... wasn't sure where to post at ... if a mod wants to delete this now that is fine with me ...
