Question Editing Photos Posted on Site

We have a HP 6280 All in One Printer-Scanner-Copier, which I think I can use to scan prints and then (hopefully learn to) post on this site. I have no desire to to have any photos downloaded or transfered. My questions are:

    1. Will the 6280 give sufficient resolution to make meaningful posts? or
    2. Will I need a dedicated scanner?.
    3. What is the best way to mark © 2009 on the photos, other than with a rubber stamp?
    4. Can the photos be edited or altered easily without an EXIF file? (Original Photos are Film) I am assuming that anything in electronic / digital format can be edited by someone.

    Thanks for your help,
    Bill,

Feel Free TO EDIT My Photos, But Please Tell Me Why
I have gone over to the dark side, no more film.

    1. Will the 6280 give sufficient resolution to make meaningful posts? Absolutely. Printing resolution is about 300 DPI, so I wouldn't go any better than that.
    2. Will I need a dedicated scanner? No. Your All In Once should do the trick. The real issue is what software are you using to scan? Photoshop Elements is a good bargain.
    3. What is the best way to mark © 2009 on the photos, other than with a rubber stamp? Again, Photoshop Elements. But you can also put your copyright in into the EXIF data. Photoshop has a watermark utility.
    4. Can the photos be edited or altered easily without an EXIF file? (Original Photos are Film) I am assuming that anything in electronic / digital format can be edited by someone. It'll have one regardless.
