    Damaged Memory Stick

I have a 5.1 Mega Pixels Cyber-shot DSC-P93A and a while ago I recieved the dreaded Memory Stick Error message. My Memory Stick is actually a phone memory card (Sony M2) placed in an adaptor (M2 Memory Stick Micro Adaptor). I had many photos and videos on this memory stick which I am desperate to recover.

When the message first showed up we took it to an electronics store. Sadly their devices could not pick up anything on the memory stick and were unsure on how to fix it. Though days later we took it to another store and they were able to detect files on the memory stick but could not upload them.

When hooking up my camera to my computer, it is unable to be recognized (it is though when a different memory card is placed in the camera) so I have to use a card reader. I have tried using two softwares to try and recover my files, CardRecovery and Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery. Both were unable to recover any files.

Am I doomed or is there still some way to help me recover my photos and videos? Any help I can recieve would be most appreciated.

    Re: Damaged Memory Stick

There are many photo recovery utilities out there, Zero Assumption Recovery and F-Recovery are the ones I use. BUt cards will fail eventually. If you can get your images off, then I'd chuck the card in favor of a FEW new oness.
