Connecting camera to tripod

Sorry for such a novice question, but I don't see how my Canon A720 attaches to my tripod:

I see the hole on the bottom of the Canon and there's a "pin" on the head with a screw/threaded hardware towards the middle of the head.

Any and I mean any suggestions will be gratefully welcomed!!!

Disregard! I found the info on another thread. I didn't realize that the hole was threaded. Thanks.
