    Computer won't read memory card

Hello, I'm a casual photographer, but I have a problem with one of my memory cards. I have two FujiFilm xD Memory Cards, one with 128 MB capacity and the other 512MB. The 128MB card works fine and has worked fine in my Olympus Camedia USB Reader. But when I put my 512MB card in, and click on the drive in My Computer, it says the card has not been formatted and asks if I would like to, even though I have already formatted in my camera. I even try formatting it in the computer, but it says that the disk is write protected.

    Any suggestions/ideas/help would be appreciated!

If you reader is an older model you may have to upgrade your reader. Can you use the USB connection to your camera to read the memory card?
