    compatibility with rebel xti

    guys
    I need more help.
    canon EF 75-300 F/4.0-5.6 IS USM for canon 35 mm slrs
    can I use this lens for rebel xti? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

    Yes, all Canon EF lenses and EF-S lenses will work with the Rebel XTi. With the 1.6x crop factor, the lens would be equal to a 120-480mm. Depending on what you like to shoot, that could either be an advantage, or a dissadvantage.

    Michael,
    Sadly the above lens has been discontinued by canon. So I wiil have to settle for some other lens with a similar range. for What I wish to shoot(wildlife) bigger range is better for me.

    Call around to your local camera shops. I just bought the EF 70-200, and in the process of shopping for the best price discovered tat a number of our local shops deal in used Canon lenses. Just a thought.
