    classification of photos in contest

    hey guys, i have a quick question about what would be an appropriate classification for a tree.
    landscape or plant life? thanks!

    it would def be plant life, but depending on the photo it could also be considered a landscape ....

    Here is how dictionary.com defines landscape: a section or expanse of rural scenery, usually extensive, that can be seen from a single viewpoint.

    That is definitely a tree and not a landscape.

    Same here. There would really need to be a wider perspective (not necessarily using a wide angle lens) to be a landscape.

    ok guys, thank you very much! looks like one of them has to go since i can only have 2 pictures in the plant life category and i already have a flower i'll be using. thanks again!

    Now I may not have read the whole thing through, but it seems like Landscape should have Land in it? But I could be wrong.

    Plant Life.
