canon s500 vs. canon s60

Hi, I am a novice to digital and would like to know the difference between these two cameras.One is the latest model,the Powershot s60 and the other seems to be the very popular Powershot s500.Thanks.

drag & drop the S500 and S60 into the boxes at the top of the columns and all features are displayed side-by-side. Biggest differences I see are the lens (S60 is wider angle); the S60 has Program, Shutter-priority, and Aperture-priority exposure modes that the S500 lacks; and the LCD viewing screen on the S60 is a bit larger.
