Canon A85 doesn't recognize CF Flash

I just got back shooting some pictures. I turned on the camera and got this message "no memory card." I took out the CFcard and down loaded the pictures to the computer with no problems. I tried two other CF cards and still had the same problem. All other functions work great. It just doesn't recognizes the CF cards. It probably wouldn't be worth it to have it fixed. Any suggestions?

Since you have the images off of it, I'd try to format the card in the camera anyway if it can be done. I have used an A60 and the choice is to delete the images (which is different), but try different things and see if the camera will see it. Since you have this problem with two cards and they download on a computer, chances are it's the camera.

One other thing - try a new set of batteries. It's surprising how many odd things this will fix.
