Having a problem with my Canon A 520. It powers up OK, but in Shoot mode, the Display is dark, even when i repeatedly press the 'display' button.

It displays previously taken shots fine in 'Playback' and the various menu icons appear, so the problem does not seem to be the display itself. Could this be some kind of a battery issue or is the sensor just not picking up any light? The symptoms are wierdly the same as when i used to leave my lens cap on as a novice SLR user! Feeling really stupid as its such a basic problem. Totally defeated, however...
