    Camera Tutorials

    Hello
I have done numerous searches, hopefully I am putting this on the
right forum......I finally bought a dSLR (XTi) thanks for everyone's help &patience
....It seems to be fairly complicated to me,&due to years of stress dealing
with me declining spinal problems, I find it very hard to absorb anything
that is written,it seems to be easier for me to comprehend things that are
shown. The cheapest way would be DVD tutorials there seems to be lots of
different brands on amazon but no reviews, I tried other cameras not much help
does anyone own or viewed any of these DVD's, there seems to be a lot (Quick pro guide,
Blue Crane,Magic Lantern,Elite Video) any help will be much appreciated....Thanks

    Re: Camera Tutorials

Not being a Canon shooter I haven't seen any for that particular camera, but I've had a couple of Magic Lantern guides over the years and they're pretty good. They're basically owner's manuals with a lot clearer wording and pictures as examples. A couple of local places stock them (camera stores and even Border's, I think) so you might find one to look at and decide if it will help. If you're learning a new system they might be a big help, but they're not exactly quick and easy reading.

    Yes
I have had a Magic Lantern book (for my film camera), and your right they are not easy to read, thats why I am wanting a DVD I think it might be easier to learn, I think I'll
probably try the Quick Pro guide to start off with, thanks for the reply.................

    Re: Camera Tutorials

I don't know about the XTi, but when I bought my DRebel (300D) it came with some online tutorials. I don't remember the website, but I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't something that you could view for free online. Check all the papers that came with your camera.

You may have already found these online, but I did a google search for Rebel XTi DVD and came up with these:

You might want to investigate this one (third one down). I have her book on the XT and find it very informative.
